Uniaxial Load Specification for Vehicle Knuckle Part Using Maximum Stress Similarity in Triaxial Load Case

Knuckle parts have a complex relationship with adjacent vehicle parts, making it difficult to determine the proper fatigue evaluation specification when considering operation. An accelerated triaxial load case for knuckle part was derived using combination of four event modules from test code developed by Korea Automotive Technology Institute. The damage analysis front and rear models conducted respect case, maximum stress measured at hotspots magnitude orientation critical plane. sensitivity six directions unit force, uniaxial force orientations two were determined similarity in terms final adjusting candidate error showed reliable results through inverse safety factors 0.02, 0.04 error, plane angles 10.8, 0.8 degrees knuckles, respectively, verified comparing between cases.
